Foreign Affairs Ministry closes premium passport centres in Accra, Kumasi

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the immediate closure of Ghana’s Premium Passport Application Centres in Accra and Kumasi, effective 20 February 2026.

The Ministry explained in a Press Release issued on Monday, 23 February 2026, that applicants with pending applications should redirect their requests to the Regional Passport Application Centres for continued processing. Clients may also contact the Passport Office Client Service Unit on 0302-754-200 for assistance.

The Ministry reassured the public of its commitment to delivering quality service despite the changes and urged all affected applicants to take note of the new arrangements.
