The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has slated its National Executive Committee elections for December 19, 2026, as part of a reorganisation plan that aligns with the party’s constitution.

On Thursday, January 29, General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey addressed the media at the party’s headquarters in Accra, outlining key measures such as safeguarding the party’s voter roll to ensure a seamless electoral process.

“The main congress to elect all national executives of the NDC will take place on Saturday, December 19, 2026,” he stated.

Moreover, public office holders appointed by the President who intend to contest party positions must resign at least six months prior to filing nominations.

“Any person seeking to contest a party position who currently holds an office appointed by the President or government must resign at least six clear months before filing nomination forms,” he added.
