Speed’s Cameraman Provides Insight into Viral Video of Dancegod Being Taken Out of Livestream

What began as an exciting crossover moment on a high-profile livestream quickly turned into a heated online debate after a clip surfaced showing Ghanaian dance icon Dancegod Lloyd being moved out of frame during a live broadcast involving global streamer iShowSpeed.
The short video of Speed doing the backflip at the top of the Independence Arch, which spread rapidly across social media, sparked mixed reactions.
While some netizens perceived the moment as disrespectful to Dancegod’s status and influence, others contended that social media exaggerated a simple production decision.
Amid the backlash, the head of production for Speed known as Slipz, stepped forward to address the controversy.
In a strongly worded post, he clarified that the action was purely a professional call made in the interest of the livestream.
He stated that he had every right to oversee the shot and make sure the camera moved smoothly during a hectic live performance.
Still, many fans of Dancegod Lloyd felt the situation could have been handled with more tact, especially given his stature in Ghana’s dance and creative space.
They argued that better coordination and communication would have avoided the awkward moment altogether.
