Fire Engulfs NOBISCO Girls’ Dormitory, Displaces Nearly 900 Students

A massive fire outbreak at the Northern School of Business on Wednesday afternoon has resulted in the displacement of nearly 900 female students, after the school’s girls’ dormitory was gutted by the blaze.

The dormitory, which accommodates students from Aggrey, Arthur, Ali, and Gbewaa houses, was completely destroyed.

Students attending classes rushed back to salvage their belongings. Ghana National Fire Service personnel fought the fire for several hours before extinguishing it.

Fortunately, there were no casualties; however, the fire destroyed beds, mattresses, books, uniforms, and other personal belongings, causing distress among the affected students and leaving them without accommodation.
