Samartex Ladies appoint Yusif Basigi as new Technical Director

Samartex Ladies have officially announced the appointment of seasoned coach Yusif Basigi as the club’s new Technical Director, a strategic move aimed at bolstering the technical and developmental framework of the team.
The former Hasaacas Ladies and Black Queens head coach joins the Timber Giants on a long-term contract, bringing with him extensive experience at both club and international levels.
The club described the appointment as a significant step in reinforcing the technical leadership of the Ladies team as they strive to enhance performances in the ongoing campaign.
Basigi is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished figures in women’s football in Ghana and beyond. His résumé includes stints with the Black Queens, Black Princesses, Hasaacas Ladies, and Simba Queens of Tanzania, where he earned plaudits for his tactical acumen and player development skills.
Samartex Ladies are currently 8th on the Zone Two Women’s League table with 7 points, and the club will be hoping Basigi’s experience and strategic input can help steady the team and push them up the standings as the season progresses.
