Suspect in Yamoah Nkwanta murder case remanded by court

The Kasoa Ofaakor District Court has remanded a suspect who allegedly murdered his girlfriend in Yamoah Nkwanta, Awutu Senya West District, Central Region, last week.

The suspect, Moses Ganyo, appeared before the court on Monday, January 12, 2026, and admitted to committing the crime.

He stated that he had visited his deceased girlfriend, Sister Yaa, and suspected her of harboring another man in her home, leading to a vicious attack that resulted in her death.

The court granted the prosecution’s request to remand the suspect for two weeks to allow for further police investigation.

He is scheduled to reappear in court on January 26, 2026.
