Kpandai rerun: Supreme Court to rule on Nyindam’s application to set High Court ruling aside on Jan 28

The Supreme Court has scheduled January 28 as the date to deliver its ruling on the application filed by Kpandai MP Matthew Nyindam to quash the decision of the Tamale High Court.

NDC Parliamentary candidate for Kpandai, Daniel Nsala Wakpal, had filed an election petition, which led to the annulment of Nyindam’s election.

Nyindam’s lawyers subsequently appealed to the apex court, arguing that the High Court judge lacked jurisdiction and that the petition was filed after the mandatory 21-day period.
