Vice President attends 2026 Jalsa Salana National Convention in Gomoa

Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang attended the opening ceremony of the 2026 Jalsa Salana, the National Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, in Gomoa, Central Region, marking the official commencement of the 93rd Jalsa Salana Ghana.

This annual gathering brings together Ahmadiyya Muslim community members from across Ghana and abroad for religious fellowship, reflection, and community engagement.

The Vice President’s presence highlights the government’s recognition of faith-based organisations’ role in promoting social cohesion and national development. She was warmly received by Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission leaders and congregants as she participated in the inaugural sessions.

The convention features religious lectures, discussions on social issues, and charitable activities, demonstrating the Mission’s commitment to spiritual growth and community service.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang’s participation underscores respect for Ghana’s religious diversity and state support for peaceful interfaith engagement.
