Man murders girlfriend at Yamoah Nkwanta for denying him sex

A 30-year-old man, identified as Moses, has been taken into custody by the Awutu Ofaakor District Police Command in connection with the suspected murder of his girlfriend at Yamoah Nkwanta in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.

Citi News has learned that the suspect, a resident of Oboman in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, had visited the deceased, identified as Sister Yaa, with the intention of spending the night with her.

A disagreement arose between the two when the deceased denied the suspect’s request for intimacy. The suspect allegedly inflicted machete wounds on the deceased before dragging her out of her room and striking her head with a concrete block, resulting in her immediate death.

Nai Achiene Acheampong Kuma, the Chief of Awutu Yamoah Nkwanta and Ogyahene of the Awutu Traditional Council, personally reported the incident to the police, leading to the suspect’s arrest by the Yamoah Nkwanta police and subsequent transfer to the Ofaakor District Police Command.

The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue, and efforts are being made to establish contact with the victim’s family.
