I don’t know Ebo Noah’s offence but I knew he was creating content from day one – Sarkodie

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has publicly commented on the arrest of Evans Eshun, popularly known as Ebo Noah, who asserts that he is the modern-day Noah tasked by God to build an ark.
Sarkodie expressed skepticism regarding the arrest, proposing that Ebo Noah’s actions are more indicative of content creation than illicit activity.
On January 2, 2026, Sarkodie posted an Instagram story featuring a video of Ebo Noah being taken into custody.
In response to the video, Sarkodie conveyed his uncertainty regarding Ebo Noah’s alleged offense, emphasizing his conviction that Ebo Noah was creating content.
“Don’t know exactly what my boy’s crime is, but from day one I knew he was making content, unless he’s been charged with something else,” Sarkodie stated, suggesting that Ebo Noah’s prophecy may have been misconstrued.
Ebo Noah was apprehended by law enforcement on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, following months of nationwide trepidation sparked by his prophecy of a devastating flood on December 25, 2025.
Ebo Noah (born Evans Eshun) is a 33-year-old Ghanaian content creator and self-proclaimed prophet who garnered widespread attention in late 2025 for predicting a catastrophic flood in Ghana.
Alleging to have received divine guidance, he cautioned that a three-year global flood would commence on December 25, 2025.
He documented himself on TikTok and YouTube constructing wooden “arks” in areas such as Elmina and Kumasi to safeguard believers, claiming to be building up to 10 vessels.
According to him, the rains were to begin on Christmas Day, mirroring the biblical story of Noah. When no flood occurred on December 25, he claimed his prayers and fasting had persuaded God to “postpone” the disaster.
Public outrage intensified after Ebo Noah appeared on stage at Sarkodie’s Rapperholic 2025 concert on December 25, the same day the flood was predicted to begin.
On December 31, 2025, the Ghana Police Service’s Special Cyber Vetting Team arrested him in Weija-Gbawe for spreading false news and causing public fear and panic.
On January 2, 2026, the Adentan Circuit Court remanded him into police custody for two weeks and ordered a psychiatric evaluation at Pantang Psychiatric Hospital.
His next court appearance is scheduled for January 16, 2026.
