Medikal shuts down Accra Sports Stadium with BYK Concert

The city of Accra bore witness to an extraordinary evening as Ghanaian music sensation Medikal presented a historic BYK Concert, drawing a record-breaking crowd to the Accra Sports Stadium and transforming the venue into a dynamic fusion of energy, music, and celebration.

As the Beyond Kontrol boss, Medikal once again demonstrated his position as one of Ghana’s most dominant musical forces, exuding confidence, charisma, and an impressive array of consecutive hits.

As the gates opened, a massive influx of fans filled the stadium, generating an electric atmosphere that characterized the evening. The concert featured an impressive supporting lineup, sustaining an exceptionally high energy level throughout.

Music duo Keche ignited the crowd with their captivating stage presence, while legendary rapper Obrafour delivered a powerful, nostalgic performance that showcased Ghana’s rich hip-life roots.

The evening’s festivities reached a high point when Reggie Rockstone, a pioneering figure in hiplife, took center stage to introduce Medikal, marking a symbolic transition from a legendary artist to a contemporary great. This poignant moment was met with thunderous applause, highlighting Medikal’s remarkable impact on Ghanaian music.

The concert continued with a series of captivating performances from Bisa Kdei, Sarkodie, Fameye, Kofi Mole, Reggie Osei, O’Kenneth, Beeztrap KOTM, and Kojo Blak, who made a special appearance with reality TV star and musician Fantana. Each act brought their unique sound, contributing to a carefully curated experience that kept the audience enthralled throughout the night.

On his set he had performances with the likes of Olivetheboy and Mr Drew and climaxed the event with the dancehall King Shatta Wale.
