Six dead, several injured in Obuasi road crash

A fatal road crash occurred on the Obuasi-kyekyewere road within the Obuasi Municipality of the Ashanti region, resulting in the deaths of at least six people and injuring several others.

The incident involved a collision between a Hyundai Urvan and a trailer. According to reports, the trailer lost control near Aboagye Motors close to the Obuasi court junction, causing the crash. The incident occurred on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at approximately 8:30 pm.

The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the Obuasi government hospital, while the injured are receiving treatment at the same hospital.

An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
