Ghana signs seventh bilateral debt restructuring agreement with Czech Republic

Ghana has signed its seventh bilateral debt restructuring agreement with the Czech Republic.

The agreement was signed by Ghana’s Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, and Mr. René Jakl, Director of the Claims and Recoveries Department at the Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation (EGAP), representing the Czech Republic.

Dr. Forson expressed Ghana’s gratitude to the Czech government and people, highlighting the deepening relationship between the two nations.

Mr. Jakl characterized the agreement as the beginning of a new chapter in bilateral cooperation, allowing for future engagements and additional support.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Czech Ambassador to Ghana, Mr. Pavel Bílek, and officials from Ghana’s Ministry of Finance.
