“Black Sherif’s ‘Soma Obi’ brings me to tears; his music touches my heart deeply,” – Cecilia Marfo reveals

Gospel icon Cecilia Marfo has expressed deep admiration for Black Sherif, revealing during an interview on Bryt Xtra that his music moves her profoundly.
She described Black Sherif as an artist who sings “from within,” with his song “Soma Obi” being her personal favorite — a track that sometimes brings her to tears.
Cecilia Marfo added that Black Sherif’s music transcends religious boundaries, noting that despite his Muslim background, he boldly references Jesus in songs like “Sacrifice,” where he sings, “Problem dey, better call Jesus.” She said this reflects his authenticity and spirituality, making her appreciate him even more.
She also mentioned that she enjoys many secular artists, listing Kwabena Kwabena, Daddy Lumba, and others among her favorites.
