The Honourable Minister for the Interior, Mubarak Muntaka, has announced that the application process for the 2025 recruitment into the Internal Security Services will officially commence on Monday, November 17, 2025, instead of the previously announced date of Saturday, November 15, 2025, and will be published nationwide to ensure every eligible Ghanaian has access to the information.

The minister stated that the change followed the unfortunate incident that occurred during the Armed Forces recruitment exercise on Wednesday and was made out of respect for the victims and their families.

Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Friday, November 14, 2025, the minister said the government remains committed to reducing unemployment through initiatives such as security service recruitment.

He noted that the exercise forms part of President John Dramani Mahama’s promise to create jobs and provide skills training for the youth.

‎Mr. Muntaka explained that the full recruitment details will be published on the ministry’s website, and on all official social media platforms. He said the ministry is also moving from paper-based to digital processes to make applications easier and faster. “For the first time, applicants can complete the entire process on their mobile phones,” he said.

‎He added that a USSD shortcode and web portal will be published on Sunday to guide applicants. The minister said the new digital system will allow applicants to monitor every stage of the recruitment process from application to screening and medicals directly on their phones. He assured applicants that the system is robust and designed to prevent confusion and overcrowding.

‎Mr. Muntaka noted that to avoid disadvantaging people in areas with poor internet connectivity, applicants can also purchase forms at commercial bank branches and Ghana Post offices nationwide.
