The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced a 50% increase in the amount of loans available to tertiary students as part of reforms under President John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Agenda.

In a statement signed by Dr. Saajida Shiraz, Chief Executive Officer of the SLTF, the Fund said the increment was part of broader efforts to enhance affordability and ensure that no student is denied tertiary education due to financial challenges.

Under the revised structure, loan disbursements to regular students have been increased by 50%, with amounts now ranging from GHC2,250 to GHC4,500 per academic year, and will continue to be paid directly to students.

The SLTF explained that the adjustment is aimed at easing the financial burden on students and improving access to higher education, assuring beneficiaries of its continued commitment to supporting their academic pursuits.
