Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician, Grace Ashly, known for her timeless Black Stars anthem that continues to resonate with Ghanaians during national football matches, has hinted at a remix of her iconic song to celebrate the team’s 5th qualification for the FIFA World Cup.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Bryt Xtra, Grace Ashly revealed that despite past disappointments over the lack of recognition for her contribution, she still feels a strong connection to the national team.

She earlier recounted how she felt deeply hurt by comments made by former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah, after reports surfaced that she was never compensated for her work in supporting the national team through music.

“I was really pained by Stephen Appiah’s remarks back then. It made me lose a bit of the love and support I had for the team,” she confessed.

However, she hinted that her passion for Ghana and the Black Stars has reignited, and fans should expect something special soon.

“I’ve done songs for the Black Stars many times, I did some in 2010 and 14 too as well so with this 5th qualification, they should expect a remix. I’m currently working on a remix for the national team so fans should anticipate it. she said.
