Education is a waste of time; we study too many unnecessary things in school – Sarkodie’s manager Angel Town

Rapper Sarkodie’s manager, Angel Town, has sparked conversation online after describing formal education in Ghana as a “waste of time.” Speaking on the Stay By Plan podcast, he argued that the current school curriculum is impractical and fails to prepare students for real-world survival.
“I have a different mindset about education because I feel like it’s such a waste of time. Everything we study in school never comes our way again. We study a lot of unnecessary stuff,” he said.
Angel Town further called for a major shift in focus, advocating for lessons in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and practical survival skills.
“We should be taught how to save money, how to build capital, how to make passive income. These are the things that will really help us survive in life,” he added.
