The Ghana Health Service (GHS) reports a continuous surge in Mpox infections and deaths across the country. The latest update indicates 10 new confirmed cases, bringing the total to 565.

Furthermore, an additional death has been recorded, increasing the total number of fatalities to two.

Currently, two infected patients are receiving medical attention at a healthcare facility.

The primary mode of transmission for Mpox is through close contact with an infected individual.

In response, the GHS has issued guidelines recommending that individuals protect themselves by avoiding close contact with infected persons, practicing frequent hand hygiene with soap and water, and minimizing regular contact with their eyes, nose, and mouth.

Moreover, the public is advised to seek immediate medical attention at the nearest health facility if symptoms such as fever, rash, headache, muscle aches, or swollen lymph nodes manifest.
