Ghana places 4th in 4×100m relay at World Athletics Championships

Ghana’s 4x100m men’s relay team achieved a fourth-place finish at the 2025 World Athletics Championships, narrowly missing a medal.

The team, made up of Ibrahim Fuseini, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah, and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu, ran a time of 37.93 seconds in the final, having qualified with 37.79 seconds in the heats.

The United States claimed gold with a world-leading time of 37.29 seconds. Canada and the Netherlands secured silver and bronze, respectively, with times of 37.55 seconds and 37.81 seconds.

In the women’s high jump, Rose Yeboah of Ghana finished 15th, failing to clear 1.93 meters, but making history as the first Ghanaian in 20 years to reach a World Championships final in an individual event.
