I almost removed ‘With You’ from my album- Davido reveals

Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Davido has revealed that his collaboration with Omah Lay, “With You”, almost didn’t make it onto his new album, 5ive.

In an interview with Emmy Award-winning TV host Rocsi Diaz, shared on TikTok, Davido admitted he nearly cut the track but is now grateful he didn’t.

“It is so funny I almost didn’t add With You, and that is crazy. Every time I think about almost taking it out, my heart starts beating. Shoutout to Omah Lay, I am just happy that we were able to collaborate on just a true African classic,” he said.

Davido also revealed his vision to launch the biggest African music festival in the world, noting that while the exact location has not yet been decided, the blueprint is already in motion.

“I want to create the biggest African festival in the world. I am not sure yet, but I have already started the blueprint,” he added.
