Nigerian actor, Nosa Rex, apologizes to Ghanaians over movie piracy rage.

Nollywood filmmaker Nosa Rex has apologised to Ghanaians following backlash over his viral video where he called the people of Ghana “stupid” while addressing claims of piracy involving his movie Prince of Peace.
In a follow-up video on August 13, 2025, Nosa clarified that his anger was directed only at TV stations allegedly involved in the illegal broadcast, not the Ghanaian public.
“The insult in that video was directed to the TV stations. I mean, why would I insult the entire Ghana? It doesn’t even make sense. I’m looking forward to come and see you people.”
He explained that his frustration came from a deep concern over how piracy undermines creative work.
“Imagine that a particular people are taking your creativity for free. It means they don’t value creativity or talent. Even you guys in Ghana, this might affect you later if we don’t speak out.”
Nosa insisted it is not in his character to insult people, stressing that his passion may sometimes make him sound harsh.
“It’s not in my nature to disrespect anybody. I love you guys so much. No disrespect intended.”
