God used the helicopter crash to remind the government not to lie to cocoa farmers - Kofi Akpaloo

Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) and former presidential aspirant has made a controversial statement, suggesting that the recent military helicopter crash was a divine message to the government about deceiving cocoa farmers.
In an interview, he stated, “God is not asleep. You saw where the helicopter crash occurred? A cocoa farm. God used the cràsh as a reminder — don’t lie to cocoa farmers.”
The politician, whose remarks have stirred mixed reactions, further downplayed the national tragedy that claimed the lives of eight people, including two cabinet ministers.
He questioned the public’s emotional response, saying, “Why are Ghanaians acting like this tragedy is something new? Even children lose their lives, so what’s the big deal if some elderly men have died?”
His comments have since sparked debate over respect, accountability, and the sensitivity of public figures during moments of national mourning.
