Bank Hospital denies breach of confidentiality in the care of the late Daddy Lumba.

The management of The Bank Hospital has rejected allegations that it breached the privacy and confidentiality of Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, the late Ghanaian music icon who passed away at the facility on July 26, 2025, stating they are false and defamatory.
In a statement, the hospital rejected claims circulating on social media, purportedly made by social media personality Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, widely known as Afia Schwarzenegger, implying that the facility mishandled confidential information relating to the late musician’s care.
“The Bank Hospital is an internationally accredited healthcare institution, staffed by highly dedicated and professional personnel. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest standard of medical care to all patients,” the statement read.
The hospital highlighted that Mr. Fosu received care that exemplified professionalism and confidentiality throughout his tenure at the facility. Furthermore, it observed that his family was fully integrated and present from his admission to his untimely death.
“At The Bank Hospital, transparency and patient-centred care are core values. Mr. Fosu’s family was involved and present throughout his medical care, from admission to his untimely death,” the hospital declared.
The hospital’s management also revealed that it conducts routine post-event assessments to evaluate patient outcomes and enhance service delivery.
In accordance with optimal medical practices and ethical standards, any findings from these assessments are shared with the family.
