Pastor granted GH20,000 bail with three sureties over Shatta Wale assassination prophecy.
Reverend Daniel Yaw Donkoh, also known as D.Y. Donkoh, has appeared before the Dansoman Circuit Court over a viral TikTok prophecy claiming dancehall artist Shatta Wale would be assassinated by armed men.
He was charged with the publication of false news, but he pleaded not guilty and was granted a GH¢20,000 bail with three sureties, one of whom must justify, and he must report to the police every two weeks.
The video reportedly caused distress to Shatta Wale and sparked concern among fans, prompting police intervention. Donkoh admitted to posting it to attract Shatta Wale’s attention. The case has been adjourned to August 27, 2025.
