Sammy Gyamfi sues Afia Schwarzenegger for GHC 10million over claims of buying cars for Legon Girls.

CEO of the Ghana Gold Board (GOLDBOD), Sammy Gyamfi, has filed a defamation lawsuit against outspoken media personality Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, popularly known as Afia Schwarzenegger, demanding GH¢10 million in damages.
The suit, filed on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, stems from a viral video posted on Afia’s social media platforms, in which she accused Gyamfi of infidelity, alleged affairs, and buying vehicles for female students at the University of Ghana.
In response, Gyamfi is seeking:
• General and exemplary damages totalling GH¢10 million
• A perpetual injunction restraining Afia from making further defamatory statements
• A public retraction and apology to be published on her social platforms, and on the front and back pages of the Daily Graphic for three consecutive editions
• The same apology to be posted on TikTok and any other platform where the claims were originally made
“An order… restraining the Defendant from making any further publication… and/or similar defamatory words concerning the Plaintiff,” part of the suit reads.
The lawsuit has stirred discussions online, especially given the high-profile nature of both parties.
As of now, Afia Schwarzenegger is yet to respond to the legal action.
