Isaac Diawuo speaking on Sikka FM’s 730Sports with host, Copper Lebarante ahead of their match against Kotoko on Sunday;
After being given the green light to play on their home grounds (Golden City Park) by the club licence board and against Kotoko being the first home game,
Isaac said the team is ready and fully prepared for the game and to make sure the three points remains in Berekum.
Speaking of the situation in Camp,
He said there are no injury concerns. The players are very active and proving their worth to be part of the side to face Kotoko and this has given Coach Samuel Boadu and his technical team a good selection headache.
Talking about facing a big team in Kotoko,
” We are not afraid of the Kotoko team…we are not afraid of anyone…, and it is about time we massacre Asante Kotoko and humiliate them.”
On the number of goals,
“It will not be a one nil victory and it will not be a last-minute goal”
He also said the game is like a normal game to them and their supporters are ready to fill the stadium to cheer the team to a massive victory.
Reiterating the massacre and humiliation,
“We have done it before and it will be witnessed on Sunday again ”
On how strong the current squad is,
“Since Berekum Chelsea’s inception in 2004, and I having been with the team from the lower divisions till now, I have never seen a more solid squad than this current squad.”
Players to watch include Steven Amankona(former Kotoko), Emmanuel Sarpong, Mezarck Afriyie, Fuseini Zakaria among others.
On the game not being live on TV, he said it was the decision of the FA not to telecast it.
He also gently reminded Asante Kotoko not to stream it on their platforms as it will not be allowed and cautioned anyone else harbouring such thoughts.
