Apple reveals new trick to instantly boost iPhone battery life

By SikkafmApril 16, 20221 Min Read

The issue was not only affecting iPhones, but iPads as well.

It comes after customers began reporting problems to Apple after iOS 15.4 was released on March 14.

The tech giant admitted that there is some battery drain immediately after installing an update but revealed it is normal.

Apparently, it’s because apps are still settling in with the new software.

And it can take up to 48 hours for the system to adjust.

Given that Apple has included battery drain in iOS 15.4.1, we can assume things still didn’t improve for some users.

The latest version also fixes the usual stuff, like minor security bugs.

In the release notes, it states: “Battery may drain more quickly than expected after updating to iOS/iPadOS 15.4.”

It also says it fixes flaws where “braille devices may become unresponsive while navigating text or displaying an alert”, as well as “made for iPhone/iPad hearing devices may lose connection within some third-party apps”.

iOS 15.4 included several big new features.

Among them is a new mask mode for Face ID, fresh emoji, and a gender neutral voice for Siri.

To install the most recent iOS update now, simply go to Settings, General and Software Update.
